These are a Few of Our Favorite Things
The holiday season is upon us and with that comes the flurry to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones. The SoulSpring team created a wonderful list of their favorite gifts, but it might not be what you think.

Grace Childs "Kindness is the gift that keeps on giving. It is not expensive, easy to deliver, and can’t be returned. The best thing about the gift of kindness is that it naturally multiples by each recipient who can give more kindness to others.
The accessories that come with kindness at no extra charge are smiles, laughter, decrease in anger and heart rate. This gift of kindness doesn’t have to be wrapped and please don’t wait till for holidays to give to the ones you love or anyone you meet. "

Ashley Turner
"Something I think our world could use a whole lot more of is the gift of compassion. You just never know what pain someone is dealing with, or what difficult circumstances they've come from. Life is hard enough. Giving the gift of compassion makes our world a much nicer place to live in"

Marie Labranche
"As a believer of the 'Five Love Languages, and being a Quality Time girl, I believe in the gift of giving my time, my most precious commodity. We can always more money, but we can't make more time. When Jesus walked the Earth as a man, He always made time for people.
We live in a fast-paced world where people are constantly busy, our busyness can sometime communicate the message, "I got no time for you." Go visit a sick friend, deliver a meal in person, or simply sit and talk with someone. Give the gift of time."

Jeni Mose
"We often get wrapped up in the world of gifting to others. But what about ourselves? The gift of Self Love isn’t about loving yourself and all that happens to you, but about truly growing through the hard shit, being painstakingly honest with yourself, and knowing when you need to listen to constructive feedback.
So called mistakes we have made along the way, are lessons, not failures. Embrace your eccentricities, don’t hide them! Dance down the aisles of Target with and without your children, wear the dang bathing suit, get that tattoo (or don’t?)! Self-love is about being your authentic self merely for the sake of yourself."

Cindy Gourley
"I was thinking about something I say casually, “No Worries”. What does this really mean? I want this for myself and my loved ones - the gift of no worries. How much time do we spend worrying – too much! Worrying is a habit and a time stealer.
So, a great gift is to literally set down our cares for any amount of time…an hour, a day or even better, a whole week. It takes practice to allow ourselves to stay in the moment and enjoy what is around us now. Why waste any more time? No worries, mate!"

Mary Rivas "I love this time of year for the reminder it brings about the importance of the gift of hope. Not a type of hope that is centered on fantasy or fake positivity but one that can truly learn to trust that although things may seem one way on the surface something deeper is at play.
Helping someone learn to really look at the bigger picture in life through the lens of hope can help them engage with opportunities in places where they felt they were stuck and lifeless."

Wynne Stallings
"What I find most people need so much more of and rarely receive freely is the gift of listening. Listening to understand. Listening to empathize. Listening to validate. Not to respond, fix, or correct. Just the simple act of listening to another's story can truly change the trajectory of that person's life. Just listen."

Wishing you a wonderful and blessed holiday season.
